Does Qatar have VAT yet?

Not yet. Qatar is the last GCC country without VAT — the framework and law are drafted, with launch expected at the standard 5% rate. Businex360 is VAT-ready today: switch on when GTA confirms the effective date and start issuing compliant invoices from day one.

What corporate tax applies in Qatar?

10% flat rate on Qatar-source income of foreign-owned entities and JVs with foreign partners. Wholly Qatari and GCC-owned companies are exempt from corporate income tax (though may face Zakat). QFC-licensed entities have their own regime.

Does Businex360 export to Dhareeba?

Yes. Corporate tax, WHT and excise ledgers export in the field format Qatar's Dhareeba tax portal expects. On VAT go-live, the same export machinery will emit the VAT return in the GTA-required format.

Which excise goods does Qatar tax?

Tobacco & tobacco derivatives at 100%, energy drinks at 100%, carbonated soft drinks at 50%, and pork products (which are prohibited but the rate applies to any illicit trade). Businex360 auto-tags SKUs and applies the correct excise on the receipt and quarterly return.
